A neighborhood-transforming 100K+ square foot sports facility, Naperville Yard is the sister project to the Westmont Yard, a 73K square foot facility also completed by the team of Bill Gust (the owner of the facilities) and Arlington Structural Steel.
Two key factors made Naperville Yard unique.
- The first was erecting the 175’ long joists that span the indoor soccer fields, in a 108' clear span construction. (The effect: it’s the closest thing to being outdoors, but it never rains.)
- The second unique factor was that the facility was built by the owner. At Arlington, we have an enormous amount of respect for Bill taking on such a task.
What made the combination of Bill Gust and Arlington Steel work was the mutual trust and respect we have for each other. We were proud and happy to have our team invited to attend the grand opening of the facility when the first soccer ball was kicked!
